Conservation and Irrigation

We build our systems with water conservation in mind.

All sprinkler systems are required to have a rain sensor installed. They will shut off the water when adequate rainfall has occurred. But we have other devices as well, such as, master valves, that prevent water from being wasted if a break in the mainline occurs. Hunter industries makes the flow click. It actually monitors the irrigation water use. If the volume goes above a preset amount (like a zone line break or broken heads), it will shut the system down so you do not waste water needlessly. Low volume irrigation (drip) is another technique that works well in certain circumstances.

Now here is the big news:

We can now guarantee up to 50% water savings with our new water conservation technologies program. Of course, certain restrictions apply. Call for details, or complete the form below.

The program consists of injecting super water absorbing polymers into the shrubs and trees root zones. On the grass we spray on “moisture manager” and wash it into the grass root zone with the sprinkler system. You allow us to control your sprinkler system only, and we will give you a money back guarantee.

By now your asking yourself, what are super water absorbing polymers and what is this moisture manager stuff.

The polymers are similar to what is in baby diapers. They swell up and hold onto the liquids inside their structures. In our application, they swell up and hold onto your sprinkler water instead of letting it all drain down into the water table. Another added benefit is they absorb the fertilizers in solution. Then the plants grow their roots into them and you have an extra reservoir for the plants to keep getting water and nutrients between watering.

Moisture manager is a liquid spray used on the grass and around bushes, trees and palms. It has to be washed into the root zone too. It is made from sugar alcohols and polysaccarides (both natural materials). The moisture manager has a unique ability to pull moisture from the air in the voids between the grains of sand and deposit it as useable water to the plant roots. This in turn allows for a much greater time between waterings.

While neither of these products are new, incorporating them into a managed technology with your sprinkler system is, and as far as we know, no other irrigation company is doing this. We will provide links to the websites where you can find more information about these products (on our Links page.)

Feel free to fill out the brief form below for a free trial of these products. (Lee and Collier counties only.) We will contact you to further discuss the program.
